I do realize that I am incredibly late in getting this Thanksgiving post going, but it's been crazy and hectic around here--as always, right!?!?

Anyhow, we were fortunate enough to have my lovely Aunt Claudia and cousin Quinn here for the holiday and we had SO MUCH fun with the babes... who soaked up every ounce of attention from our guests... they were loving it. Here's Annie with Aunt Claudia:

Yep, they find a way to get ANYONE and EVERYONE to read to them, if possible.

Here they are with Quinn who was, by the way, GREAT with the babies! They flocked to him!

So, let's get to the food... the babies weren't so excited about the turkey so we turned to what else-- PB & J! They were lovin' it! Though, they did love the mashed potatoes!

Not to sound morbid or anything, but if I died tomorrow, I think I'd want to be buried in Binney Park. Haha... I just love the place. It's so beautiful--we visit there almost everyday. It's especially brilliant in the fall... take a look:

So, here's the crew on one of our daily walks around the park.

One of their favorite things to do is stake out the park's "resident" Swan. We don't get too close though, word is, he's VERY mean and will chase you down. We keep our distance.

So, as a really cool birthday surprise, a family friend decided to upload some pictures of me as a baby to Facebook in honor of my birthday. I thought they'd be fun to share considering this blog is all about pictures of my babies. BTW... do you think I look like either of my girls?

Aunt Chloe made the trip in from Phoenix to visit for the weekend so we decided to take the crew down to a local pumpkin patch (Eden Farms) for a hayride. You could say it was a nice "stress free" outing because we had one person per baby. Which makes life SO much easier! Aunt Chloe was in charge of Annie... here they are walking together:

Columbus Day Craziness!

Not that it's the most EXCITING of holidays, but we had some fun around the house celebrating Columbus Day with the babies... thought I'd share some highlights:

The girls opted to spend a good chunk of the day reading. Here's Annie, deep in thought, trying to figure out if this is the title for her... meantime, Liv was reading with Grandma...

As for Tommy, he was up to his typical hi jinks, standing in the corner playing peek-a-boo. Note that his pants were falling down... he had us all in stitches.

We also had a blast at bath time-- per usual!

And finally--the one moment today where everyone was calm at once. Wow, the silence was deafening! Haha!

Rain, rain go away-- but we'll have fun anyway!

Nothing but gloom and doom when we woke up Saturday morning--dark clouds, dark sky, then massive downpours. So, we decided to head down the street to Grandma's school to let the little ones get in some exercise. There's a HUGE playroom with lots of toys, climbing, etc... JUST what the doctor ordered!

And yes, poor Liv's face is all beat up because of a spill she took earlier this week... just in case you're wondering. :(

This girl is like a mini Carrie Bradshaw ("Sex and the City" reference for those of you who don't get it).

As for Tommy--still clearly NOT INTERESTED in getting his picture taken--the face says it all, right!?!... hoping it's just a phase.

I have been trying SO HARD to get some good pictures of all three babies, however, poor Tommy does not want to cooperate these days. Poor guy is not feeling very photogenic because he's still getting over a cold all three have shared. So... this post focuses on my CRAZY girls who are livin' it up--trying to be BIG GIRLS!

They get their hands on my glasses, the telephone... and, by the way, have some very deep conversations with their boyfriends (whoever they may be).
I go straight to the girls when I can't find something, they've usually got it hiding somewhere. Here's Liv proclaiming innocence!!!

But, not for long.. I lost them upstairs for about two minutes today and guess what I found...Yep, in my closet, in the jewelry... haha.

Yay, we're back! So sorry for the "blog departure" but we're up and running again! I just had to snap some pictures of Annie today to illustrate her little "shoe fetish"--and this girl certainly doesn't discriminate when it comes to size, color, or style!

First, I caught little miss thang hangin' in Grandma's closet. She seemed to like this red pair of flats, but then, onto something a little more cozy...

Who doesn't like Uggs, right?!?!

But nothing, and I mean NOTHING can top the snazzy shoes that we just bought.
They're pink metallic and look like moon shoes. So cool, right!?

Annie is SO PROUD of them and so in love that she literally giggles when I put them on!

Breaking Bread...

Here's a sign the babies are getting big---NO MORE HIGH CHAIRS! I'm actually beyond elated about this, only because it seemed everyone was FIGHTING to STAND in their high chairs. There was more scolding going on than eating. So... check out the new mealtime digs... The only downside to sharing a table with your siblings---well, when your brother reaches across the table and tries to steal your food because his ran out. I hate it when that happens, don't you!?!? We may have to reinstate those high chairs.

Since we do so much walking near home we thought we'd venture elsewhere for a change of scenery. Not far from Old Greenwich (just over the border in Rye, New York) is Pepsico--yes, the home of many Pepsi Products, but also the home of a beautiful walking trail on the company's grounds...

Along with a sculpture garden. The babes had a BLAST picking flowers, and putting them in their hair,

And, of course, checking out the sculpture garden. At first, Annie wasn't sure what to make of the "sculpture people"...But, my little "people person" warmed up right away!

It's been SOOO very humid here in southwestern Connecticut the past couple days. Yes, we could have gone to the beach, but let me tell you, that's a task in itself when you've got three babies! So, we headed no further than the backyard to find some relief--we just had to be a little creative! How fun is this? Grandma got us a water table...

But what could be EVEN BETTER?

We Miss You, Rosie...

Today, Rosalie, my companion of 12 years and best friend of Remmington, passed away. I felt I should do something to pay tribute to Rosalie. She enjoyed her last walk in the park this morning, and, as she often did, slept under the babies' cribs one last time today during their nap--she loved to watch over them. I take comfort in knowing Rosalie now has her angel wings.

THE RAINBOW BRIDGE:

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

We Survived!!!

We made it! The babies are officially "travelers". We all survived a great trip to Michigan to visit family--10 hours there and 10 hours back! The plan of action: drive through the night so the "crew" will sleep the trip away!

Bottles and DVDs kept them happy, for the most part...

And Rem and Rose cozy in their crate.

Our destination was Coldwater Lake--the location of a cottage that has been in my mom's family for more than 100 years! As mentioned, the babes just loved the water!

Yes, before we knew it, they were swimming AWAY from us!We also made a trip to another lake--this one in Indiana--to visit Aunt Judy and Uncle Gordy where the babes got a chance to go boating!

Guess who played captain?

So many new experiences for these three... as well as new friends. This little girl we met at the playground wanted to take Olivia home with her. Somehow, Liv managed to make it back to Connecticut with us--thank goodness!

We also got to visit with relatives, including the lovely Aunt Helen who Miss Annie took to right away!

We got back from our trip to Coldwater Lake, Michigan early this morning! LOTS of great pictures and stories to tell, which I will get to once I catch up on my sleep (10 hours of driving all night)! So, to hold everyone over, here's a little video of the babies swimming--which they LOVED!

Close to three hours in the car with three babies probably doesn't sound like much fun but it seems these triplets actually LIKE road trips! Either that, or we just got lucky this time 'round.

As mentioned, we headed to Northampton, MA for my Aunt Nancy's 60th birthday party. Such a wonderful time with wonderful people! The babies quickly made friends with their cousin Audrey. And Aunt Juli--she's so much fun!The highlight of the park where the party was held--THE SWINGS!

Miss Annie seemed to be especially partial to all the good food at the birthday picnic. All that playing make a girl hungry, right?
Soooo good to see everyone and Happy Birthday to Aunt Nancy! With the help of a half gallon of milk, we all made it home in one piece!

Grandpa's In Town!

Guess who drove ALL THE WAY from Michigan to visit us? Grandpa John is in town for a short visit, then heading to Northamptom, Massachusetts for Aunt Nancy's 60th birthday party. So, for his brief stint in Old Greenwich, we thought we'd let him experience a day in the life of Annie, Tommy, and Olivia. Where did it all start? Our favorite breakfast haunt, of course!

Aunt Chloe was along for the trip, as well.

It didn't take long before Grandpa was cracking a few smiles!

Then--along for our morning fitness walk--come on gramps, you can keep up!

It seems strolling through the park is more his speed...

Next the babes and I also head to Northampton for Aunt Nancy's big bash. We can't wait to see all the family that's in from all over the country!

Sometimes the babies watch me while I get ready for work in the early afternoon. I often let them play with my brushes, hairdryer, and well, any makeup they can't get into. The girls soon began to imitate me doing my hair--ESPECIALLY Annie. So, I just got her her own brush. She may not have that much hair, but little Miss Annie LOVES to make herself look pretty!

We had a nice Sunday evening dinner at my mom's this week. While most of us were sipping our wine and indulging on spaghetti, guess what the highlight of the night was for the babes?
Yes, the babies unloaded ALL the Tupperware onto the kitchen floor--even Grandma got in on the action! Hmm.. you think they call it Tupper "ware" because you're supposed to wear it? Maybe the babies know something we don't...

What do you do with three babies stuck inside on a rainy day? Get outside, of course! We made a valiant effort to do so, considering we were all suffering from an extreme case of cabin fever--- thankfully, strollers and triplets can easily be waterproofed! Not too far from our apartment there is a fantastic little bagel shop, the perfect thing to cheer these three up, considering the dreary weather. We got our usual...

But even the extra cream cheese didn't seem to cheer up little Liv.

So, we went for a long walk, through the park.

And wouldn't you know it--- the SUN came out! Suddenly, that trio of frowns was turned upside down!

What's better than a birthday? How 'bout three at once--well, you get the idea. Uncle Todd and Julia were so kind as to host a fun little party for the babes at their new apartment. Here's grandma with baby Liv--CAN'T BELIEVE my girl is one! While the food and company was great the best part, by far, was watching Annie, Tommy, and Olivia chow down on cake! They each had their own and it started pretty clean...
But things went downhill pretty quickly---

We're Almost One!

Can you believe it? I sure can't. This had to have been the slowest, yet the fastest year ever for me. It's strange how motherhood really changes every aspect of you life. People can tell you that, but you truly don't understand it until you experience it. The babies' official birthday is Monday, but I thought I'd do a little wrap-up of their first year.
Olivia Leigh Kane Also known as "Liv", "Livy", and "Olive" (much to the dismay of her father).
Liv is the youngest, yet the biggest. She stands very well on her own and has already taken her first step! Liv also really seems to be a "Mommy's girl" which I don't mind one bit!

Thomas Patrick Kane V
Best known as "Tommy" and "Big Guy" while that's not entirely the case--he's the smallest, but very solid nonetheless, so his father hasn't lost hope that he could one day play USC football! This guy is always laughing and smiling, despite the fact that he's surrounded by girls all day, every day!Ann Elizabeth Kane

Aka: "Annie" or "Annie-roo" is the leader of the pack! Annie loves to show off--she claps her hands and verbalizes very well. Our bets are that she'll be the first to talk. Annie likes to give mommy a run for her money every day--you've got to love this girl, though, she has an appetite for life!

After all, she was the one who apparently broke my water and decided it was time to head into the world...

We'll never forget that day and how small they once were...And all the fun we've had in the course of a year.Happy "almost" Birthday babies--my, how we love you!!!

I can't help but laugh when I think about Easter one year ago today.

ESPECIALLY when we compare it to Easter NOW. My how things change in the course of a year! Here we all are before heading over to Ricky and Tom Tom's (Tom's parents) for brunch.

And Olivia--VERY ENTHUSIASTIC about an Easter gift--truth is, the paper was her favorite part.

A Beach and a Birthday!

This post is a twofer-- yep, two for the price of one.
To start, the babes had their first trek in the sand today. For some a success and one other, not so much. We'll get to that in a second...

BEAUTIFUL sunny day here in Connecticut--at first they sat on the beach towel, just taking it all in. But, before I was able to count to ten, the exploring began...
At first, they really weren't sure what to make of this "stuff" we call sand. Although, Annie seemed to like the taste of it.And Tommy decided he wanted it everywhere--the inside of his nose, included!
Then, before I could blink, Annie decided she wanted to go hang out with the people on the OTHER END of the beach! Slow down girl!

Poor little Liv HATED the sand and just wanted to suck her thumb.

And I can't end this post without wishing "Happy Birthday" three times over to the babies' grandma--my mom! We're trying to get them warmed up to the idea of cake and candles considering their first birthday is right around the corner!!!

I was busy doing several household chores this morning---as usual---and the babies just happened to follow me into the bathroom. Well, faster than I could snap my fingers, I found them all like this: Yes, they were all practically BEGGING me to give them a bath!

Sorry folks--I DO bathe my kids, but it just wasn't time yet for the bath. So, I set them outside the bathroom and shut the door. They sat there FOREVER just staring at the closed door. Poor babies, they act as if they've never gotten a bath in their short little lives!

The Bath Time Terrorist!

Yes, Annie's new nickname (according to her Aunt Chloe) is "Annie the Terrorist".

Why? Well, to start, she steals EVERYONE's bottles and loves to terrorize her brother and sister during bath time with splashing and screaming. Tommy obviously looks VERY concerned in this next picture...

She even tried to terrorize Mommy and Daddy by attempting to escape mid-bath...

Lions, Tigers, and Triplets--- OH MY!!!

What happens when you take two sets of triplets, two other children, two mommies, one grandma, and one auntie ALL to the zoo? Well, it creates quite a caravan-- I'll tell you that! Earlier this week I FINALLY had the pleasure of meeting my friend Theresa from Long Island. Just to give you a little background; Theresa is a fellow triplet mom I met online who was totally there for me during my pregnancy and days of bed rest. This woman is AMAZING! She provided me endless support in the way of e-mails, phone conversations from my hospital bed-- she was definitely my little cheerleader! Not to mention, Theresa has handed down many wonderful things to my babies-- she has five of her own, three, are triplets, as well! Here she is with her beautiful family:

So, after a year of knowing her via e-mail and telephone-- Theresa and I met up with all the kidlets (along with her mom and my sister) at The Bronx Zoo.

It was so cute because her kids got such a kick out of the babies! As for the animals, many of them were hiding in their indoor habitats because it was a chilly February day. Still, we did see a few--

A Very Belated Happy Valentine's Day!

Just this past week we started bathing all three babies TOGETHER in the tub. Previously, they took turns in the sink, but have since outgrown it. Well... it seems one baby in particular (Tommy) HATES bathing with the girls. No, not because he's the "odd man out" (no pun intended) but because he doesn't seem to like the echoing noise in the tub. He starts SCREAMING every time one of the girls makes a loud noise. So... once Tom and I pulled him out, the girls proceeded to have a fun time bathing together. Take a look:

Every morning I pull out the toy box and Miss Thang does her thing. The other babies wait patiently as Olivia pulls herself up on the side of the toy box and take out toys, one at a time. Here she is in action:She takes great pride in being the "Queen of the Toys"- just look at that smile!

Yes, they may look like little angels, but at times, looks can be VERY DECEIVING!

Tommy is in the clear--- he hasn't yet figured out how to crawl, but these two, I find EVERYWHERE!
I just had to put up a gate and childproof our home... Olivia isn't sure why she's being kept prisoner in her own home.

I'll step in a room and hear crying coming from "somewhere"... yep, she often gets herself stuck in the most obscure places...

And of course, they are always trying to pull themselves up on everything! Yikes--- so much potential for falling backwards!

But hey mom, we're babies! And after all, girls just wanna have fun!

Fiesta Mexicana!

Let's face it.... I LOVE being home with the babies but once in a while I do need a little break--- outta the house and away from diapers, tears, and Cheerios.

So, Wednesday night I traded baby formula for Margaritas, and Cheerios for chips and salsa--- Ole! Chloe and my friend, Kristina, had a festive get-together at her casa. She's actually one of many labor and delivery nurses who took care of me during my loooooong stay at Greenwich Hospital (during the pregnancy).

My sister, Chloe, accompanied me to the party, while Tom did baby duty. Yea Tom--- thanks so much!

Here are a couple of the other nurses who took care of me and the babes (while they were still in utero). They haven't actually met the trio yet.

On The Mend!

Yee-haaa! The babes seem to be feeling MUCH better after a bout of the flu--- or perhaps we should call it "the plague" since it ascended over our home like a giant black cloud--- hahaha.

So, here's Livy who was the first to get sick, poor girl had a fever of 103 but today, she's back to almost cracking a smile...

Annie was second to get hit by "the plague". She was holding down food, but her temp sparked to 104--- yikes. You could tell how sick she looked--- wild hair and all.

Thank goodness both girls seem to be doing so much better (but obviously, Livy is still not in the mood for a picture).
Tommy has pretty much beat this thing--- or so it seems. He appeared to be getting a fever yesterday, but today, the guy was back to his crazy yoga poses. I'll take that as a sign that he's 100%!

Welcome Aidan!!!

Yes, this blog is typically about MY babies, but today we're making an exception... we have a very precious little guest star..... let's put our hands together for little Aidan James (he very well could be Annie or Olivia's future husband, after all--- well, that is if he likes OLDER women)!

I believe this was MOMENTS after his welcome into this world. Aidan is my friend Pam's FIRST grandchild! Yay! A couple of months ago, my mom and I made the trip to Rhode Island for a baby shower for Aidan's mommy, Rachel. Rachel is so funny and so sweet--- she'll be a fantastic mom to little Aidan!

The babes and I spent Tuesday making cupcakes to celebrate Aidan's birth! Of course, that meant we also had to EAT a lot to share in the celebration. It's always good to have a reason to eat cupcakes!

Here's another picture of him. He lives in Atlanta so it will be a while before we all meet him but he's so handsome, my girls can't wait. Watch out Aidan! Haha! :)

Yes, I should have done this post A WHILE ago, but hey, give a girl a break. I have been busy, busy!
So, I thought I'd do a little look back at '08 to help welcome '09. Phew! What a year it's been!

2008 was off to a CRAZY start! This newly married couple (just over a year of marriage) found out they were expecting not one baby, or two, but THREE! Yikes! At first they thought I was having twins and then--- the unexpected third baby popped on the screen.

We'll fast forward a bit... by the start of the year I was already on bed rest because of pregnancy complications (pretty common with high order multiples).

I was not allowed out of bed (except of course to snap the occasional picture) and I spent many a week in the hospital-- that part of '08 I HATED!!!

Much of my diet plan for 2008 consisted of this... yes, one of the HIGHLIGHTS of the year!

Yes sir re, the docs wanted me to consume about 4000 calories a day. Believe me, it's more difficult than one might believe! Finally, on April 21,2008 I was relieved of the bed rest boredom that '08 had brought me so far. Yep, it was D-DAY.... or rather, B-DAY for three babies! About time! Can you tell how happy I was to see this day!?!?

So, I guess you could say we ALL went under the knife and...

One by one...

We were VERY blessed. THIS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF '08!!!!!

After that, well, everything is a bit of a blur....

Let's see, Remmington turned 11.

We had LOTS of pizza in '08 (which is a promise for '09, as well)!

By the end of the year I had three big babies--- who give me a run for my money every day--- but we have SO MUCH FUN!

Can't wait to see what '09 brings! More babies? I wouldn't bet on it! :p

The Case of The Bottle Snatcher!

Now that the babies can hold their own bottles I like to line them up on the floor and let them drink away. Sometimes I leave the room and come back and it seems Annie ALWAYS has a full bottle--- and she drinks the fastest. Well, I've come to discover why... take a look:

Christmas 'Morn!

Well.... I couldn't help but go at least a little nutty with picture taking on the babies first Christmas... It started bright and early at 6:30 this morning when I heard Tommy "talking loudly" (as I like to call to call it) in his crib. So, he came to hang with us in our bed. Can you see the Christmas Morning excitement written all over his face?

We headed over to Tom's parents' house bright and early for our first dose of presents. Yep, the triplets were ALL OVER IT!
Here they are, opening their gifts... among their favorites (and TOM's favorite)...
Try as he might, Tom could not fit into this jersey. Okay, NO this IS NOT for TOM... It's for Tommy, who is apparently a FUTURE USC Linebacker and the girls... yep (not cheerleaders) they're called USC Song Girls.

Finally, after a LOOOOONG afternoon nap (for the babes) we returned for a little dinner. Annie was more into the Cheerios then the filet.

Meanwhile, Olivia was rockin' it in her Jumperoo! You go girl!

And of course the night was not complete without a family photo op...

Those who know me know I LOVE gingerbread houses! I usually decorate one every year--- but this year was extra special... my friend Pam and her boyfriend, Michael, spent DAYS making houses from scratch--- yep, complete with the brick carved out on each house. Snuggle Bears and Snuggly Blankets...

My babies have a new obsession--- Snuggle Bears! We've got a whole slue of 'um--- yep, this is just SOME of the collection!

They come from their "Auntie Pam" as we like to call her--- aka, Olivia's godmother! She used to work for Unilever--- the company that makes Snuggle Fabric Softener.

So... Tommy is SO in love with his Snuggle Bear. This is what he looks like just about every night. What a little angel!
The babies also like to snuggle up with their new polar fleece blankets hand-made by their Aunt Claudia. We love 'em, especially because they have little paw prints on them! Look at the three little bugs in a rug. Can you tell that one little guy in our household is ESPECIALLY partial to the little paw prints? Wonder why...?!?

Man's (And Baby's) Best Friend!

I've had A LOT of people ask me; "How are your dogs adjusting to the babies?".

Well, tonight I walked into the living room after having gotten the babies ready for bed--- and I had just given the dogs a bath--- well, THIS is what I saw...

Yes, Remmington was making himself at home on top of Tommy. And no worries--- Remmi is barely five pounds so no need to worry--- he's not hurting the little guy.

Both dogs have actually become somewhat protective of the babies. Wherever the babies are--- you'll find the dogs. And, so funny, whenever the dogs walk by Tommy he CRACKS UP! He LOVES them! I'm so glad we could find such peace and harmony in our household!

"Picture Perfect"...

Yeah.... that's what I've been trying for--- for days! I want to get the perfect picture of the babies for their "first" Christmas card. Let me tell you--- with three of them, that is a near impossible feat! Haha! Here's how it usually goes; SOMEONE is smiling, but oh yeah, another one is crying and the other is uh, looking away... I thought I'd share some of the cute outtakes, anyhow!

This FINALLY kept them all occupied (don't worry, I didn't let them eat them...), but they were more into the chocolate than the picture taking. Come on, can you blame them?

While it may sound a bit cliche; Tom and I have SO MUCH to be thankful for this year! We REALLY, REALLY do! Healthy babies, our health, and fantastic family and friends who offer us constant, loving support!

So, Thanksgiving this year was extra special, especially considering it was the babies' first! Here's Olivia shortly after we arrived at Ricky and Tom-Tom's (aka: Grandma and Grandpa Kane's). She's showing off her hot new baby Ugg's (a gift from Ricky)--- very cute!

We pulled all three babes right up to the table. Ricky prepared special mashed potatoes and turnips for the triplets (light on the salt and pepper).And you know what.... they LOVED each and EVERY bite!

Okay, so I'm WAAAAY behind with the blog, but it's only because I've been REALLY sick--- yes, with Bronchitis- ugh! The doctor told me to not get within five feet of the babies or wear a mask--- so, obviously, I only had one option! Yes, I know, oh so attractive! Not my best look. Anyhow, Tom stayed home today and did double duty with the babies so I snapped a few pics.

Here he is giving Olivia a bath with her bunny towel. She looked pretty happy to have Daddy taking such good care of her!

Daddy only has so many hands so we had to resort to some bottle propping--- for those of you who don't know about this, it's one of the secrets to feeding triplets!

Even with Mommy technically out of the loop it seems everyone stayed pretty happy...Three cheers for Daddy! Hip hip hooray!!!

A Merry Time at The Maritime Aquarium!

Annie, Tommy, and Olivia went on a MAJOR field trip today--- finally out of the house, even out of town... and up to The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk! How very fun; not only for mommy but for all three babies-- what was a great introduction to marine life!

Yes sir re... we saw creatures big and small, ugly and cute. While they seemed to stare down the triplets...

The triplets stared right back--- Tommy even wanted to reach out and touch this guy.

So true... especially when it comes to babies! Today, I had the pleasure of finding out what it might look like if I had not triplets, but quadruplets! Here's a look:
As we all know, I do only have three babies, not four. So who is this mystery man?
It's cutie patootie Devin Ayala! Yes, he has appeared on the blog before and is the son of two good friends; Alex and Jen. They came for a visit today, but there seems to be a problem--- what appears to be a love triangle brewing--- if you recall, this was a picture from the babies' christening, where Miss Olivia was WINKING at Devin-- making a pass.

Well, today it seems clear that Devin likes not Olivia, but Annie. Here he was trying to lock arms with her-- too bad little Annie doesn't look too interested (you can tell by her expression). Sorry Devin.

Meantime, Devin's Dad, Alex had a good time hanging out with Tommy--- two bald men having a grand 'ol time! We all got a good laugh out of that one!

So... the babies are officially sixth months old! WOW--- did that every fly by! Yesterday they had their 6th month check-up and everyone is doing GREAT! Among the highlights that I found somewhat amusing; Annie is in the 90th percentile for her height and (big surprise here), Tommy's head size is in the 90th percentile. He soooo takes after his dad. We all got a laugh out of that!

Okay, so they aren't there just yet... but the babies SOOOO want to crawl! The second I put them on the floor... boom--- they go right on their bellies and start to squirm!

An Autumn Stroll...

Every morning the six of us; me, Annie, Tommy, Olivia, Remmington, and Rosalie head out for a nice long walk and today was SUCH a treat! What can I say, fall in New England is beautiful, so of course, we just HAD to take some pictures!

First, a stop in the park where Tommy was lovin' the sunshine.

Of course, we had to ATTEMPT a couple of group photo 'ops. The babies decided to pose on a park bench. Unfortunately, Tommy was more interested in looking at a squirrel in the tree above him.

Then, we headed down to the water... so beautiful.

It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween at The Kanes! You betcha--- Annie, Thomas, and Olivia are gearing up for their first "Hallows Eve", even though they don't actually have any teeth to chew candy (that's probably a good thing)! Their Uncle Todd's friend Julia got them THE CUTEST Halloween hats evah!Miss Olivia thought she was the coolest in her pumpkin head hat! Meantime, Thomas was rockin' it in a little black hat that says "BOO!".
Poor Annie was a little frightened by the idea of Thomas being a little ghost...
Even Remmington and Rosalie are feeling that Halloween spirit!

Riding In Style!

Yes, the kiddies are getting SOOOO big and bigger babies means the need for a bigger stroller.
From the get-go they've been touring around town in their beloved "triple decker". Here we are on our first walk ever back in May. That seems like only yesterday! Okay, I shouldn't get too sentimental, it's only a stroller, right? I also can't help but remember how tiny they were then. Here's little Annie, fresh home from the hospital:So.... here's what I'm getting to... we just got a new BIGGER stroller! This one will fit them until they're five years old; yee haa!

Poor Tommy wasn't too happy, as you may be able to tell-- the little guy is teething. However, we went for a nice long walk today, and it is SOOO much easier to push then the triple decker. I'm pushing about 70 pounds plus the stroller (that includes the dogs). Olivia thought she was lookin' pretty cool in her new ride.

Meantime, Remmington and Rosalie hold down the rear and were lovin' it all!

Lovin' On The Trips!

Yes, my babies got SOOOO much lovin' this weekend! We were honored to have my dad and Grandma (their GREAT Grandma) visit from Michigan and Indiana--- we also had an aunt and cousins come down from Massachusetts! I told Annie, Tommy, and Olivia they had better feel pretty dern special!

Here's my dad, my cousin Asante, and her daughter Audrey, all hangin' out with the trio--- before we knew it it was feeding time--- what turned into a family affair, quite literally.

Here is Miss Annie being fed by her great grandmother, with a little help from cousin Audrey. Can I tell you, little Audrey was SOOOO good with the babies! Here she is giving Annie a smooch! How cute is that?

And you should have seen us all; parading around the streets of Greenwich with the trips in tow. We stopped for ice cream then headed to a local park for a family photo op!

I'll bet you didn't know Team Kane took part in the US Open! Well, not REALLY, but Ricki and Tom Tom (grandparents) got them some really cool gear at this year's festivities. So, we decided to PRETEND that we were competing.

Olivia and Annie were set to play against Venus and Serena. As you can see, Olivia, was VERY excited!

And you can't forget their trainer, Thomas (the brother). On the court, he's known as "TK 5".

In the end, the Williams Sisters beat the Kane Sisters. Booo! After the match, Olivia didn't look too happy--- hey sista, there's always next year!

Okay, so Tom and I are constantly laughing and wondering what the babies will look like as adults--- doesn't every parent think about that sometimes? Anyhow, a friend of mine (and fellow blogger) made me aware of a website that is SO COOL! I guess you could say it really gave me some insight as to what Tommy, Annie, and Olivia may look like in their future yearbook photos (but from different eras)... believe me, it's all in fun and gave me SUCH A GOOD LAUGH!

A Labor Of Love!

Boy did we have an eventful Labor Day! Our dear friend, Val, invited the trips for their very first dinner party at her lovely home, but during a last minute run to the supermarket to pick up fixin's for the get-together, poor Val slipped on olive oil that spilled on the supermarket floor! The outcome--- you guessed it! Poor, sweet Val. Even with her "handicap", she managed to go from the emergency room and back home fast enough to pull things together! Before we could dig in, the trio decided they just had to tear into their bottles!If Tommy's face is ANY indication, he truly enjoyed his Labor Day meal at Val's, as did we! Val, you're amazing--- thanks for a wonderful time! PS--- I'm not quite sure HOW this happened!

Life is Better in Bulk!

Yes, everything around here is IN BULK! From diapers, to clothes, to wipes, to formula, to food--- we've even got babies in bulk! Okay, maybe that's going a little too far. Anyways, someone asked me the other day how many diapers we go through a day, so I counted. Yesterday, 34! Phew! Just to give you an idea of what it's like around here in terms of our stockpile of baby stuff--- here's the dirty clothes we accumulated yesterday alone--- I do at least one load of baby laundry a day!

Let's see, how about all of those dirty diapers--- yep--- regular trips to the dumpster! You can see the bag of them, but it's a good thing you don't have to smell it!

And when we do buy formula, no, we don't just get a jar of it.
Yes sir re, Costco has become my best friend! Here's Olivia yesterday on our way out--- shocked that we were making yet another trip there!

And I couldn't help but laugh yesterday when I had to cut fingernails and toenails on babies--- 60 total! Yikes! Buy hey, when I get those smiles in "bulk" it's all worthwhile, right?

I think the babies are really starting to notice one another! I captured some great video of the girls together on the couch--- at first, I really think Annie isn't sure what to make of Olivia, then, she starts talking to her. SO CUTE!

So.... I've been dying to learn how to edit video/pictures online. I thought I'd give it a little whirl, mind you, I have a loooong way to go and lots to learn! However, I made a fun little collage of our first four months with the babies, as well as the time leading up to it. It's put to the music of what you could consider Tom and my "song". Yes, very cheesy, but it was used for the first dance at our wedding! Enjoy!

Update On My "First" Babies...

I've had sooooo many people ask me how my first babies (aka: Remmington and Rosalie) are adjusting to the triplets. So far, so good! I must admit, they get a little jealous sometimes; hearing me talk to the real babies the way I used to only talk to them, but, I try to divvy up my attention as much as possible! Before Annie, Tommy, and Olivia came along, Remmington and Rosalie were living a posh life, to say the least! Now, poor Remmi's hours of slumber are interrupted by cries during all hours of the night. Every time I get up to feed a baby he follows me into the nursery and waits to return to bed when I do.

Now, it seems, he really thinks he's one of them! He cries when they cry and often lies at the foot of their cribs! Here he is trying to join in on tummy time!

So, to make it up to my dear doggies, I thought I'd treat them to a day at the spa. Yes, they were in DIRE NEED of a clean-up! Here are the before and after pictures.

Tuckered Out Triplets!

What a day! Today was Annie, Tommy, and Olivia's big christening occasion and let me tell you--- they are beat beyond belief! Tom and I hurried home to give them all a quick bottle and settle them into their cribs. Don't worry, though, I took LOTS of pictures!
Here's Olivia feeling a little overwhelmed in her christening gown. My poor babies were sweating beyond belief. They were actually pretty happy having the cold water poured over their heads!
We were so blessed to have so many wonderful people there to support us and our babies! We had a big party afterwords with lots of good food, drink, and good company! Here's the trio with their Great Ma and Great Pa--- great grandparents (ages 89 and 92) who made the trek from Florida just to see the trio christened!

Mind you, ours weren't the ONLY babies in the house! Here are the triplets' twin cousins--
And, the littlest edition at the christening, resident cutie patootie little Devin Ayala (my friends' baby) who is only 6 1/2 weeks old!
And it seems Olivia took a liking to him. I caught her flirting--- winking at Devin! Olivia--- aren't you a little old for him?
In the end, it was all topped off with a picture perfect and VERY TASTY cake---

Team Kane!

I just had to show off the coolest t-shirts our little trio got from their Uncle Todd. Take a look at these!Then--- look at the back!
Meantime, the "Kane Three" have been very busy these past few weeks--- or at least their mommy has been! We've been hurrying to get ready for their upcoming christening next weekend. We've got their little shoes and outfits in order. I had so much fun picking them out!
We've also got family and friends coming in from all over the country. Aunt Laura and Cousin Liam just flew in from LA. It was Liam's first time meeting his triplet cousins (he has twin cousins, too!).
So, are the "Kane Three" excited about their big party? Tommy says, "you betcha!"

Three Peas In a Pod!

Actually, three babies in a crib, but close enough, right? This morning everyone was hanging out together, as happy as could be. Nothing but peace, love, and harmony in the Kane house! Of course, I just HAD to grab the camera!

Stroller Strides!

Phew! What a workout! This morning Annie, Tommy, Olivia, and I hightailed it into town to try out a class called "Stroller Strides". My fantastic friend Pam found out about if for me and I'm so glad she did--- it's so great!
What you see is what you get--- a parade of mommies and their strollers (with babies inside, of course), headed all over town to workout together.

Here we are walking, but there is A LOT of running and--

we stop along the way to do things like push-ups and resistance training. NOT EASY! Especially not easy with a triplet stroller! But hey, three times the workout, right?

So many mommies and so many babies--- we met some really nice people!
In the end, Annie looked at me as if she'd had enough. Quite a workout! I think she forgot I was the one doing the pushing!By the way--- Stroller Strides takes place all over the country. If you're a mommy who'd like to check it out in your area, just head to their website. It's so much fun!!!

Inseparable "Sistas"!

This morning we had some real "girl time". Olivia, Annie, and I were just kickin' back a bit on the couch and it was the cutest thing.... the girls were practically holding hands! I know they both really love having a sister!

When I took this next picture Olivia had such a sly smile on her face. I think she was saying something along the lines of, "Annie, it's soo much fun to hang out without that silly boy around. Maybe we could go shopping later?".

Annie says, "I know, Olivia. It's just like my bib says, "Born Together, Best Friends Forever", right?".

As for that silly boy (whom I love dearly, by the way!!!) he could have joined in on our "girl time", but he was too busy catching a few winks in his swing.

Looking Back...

I just stumbled across some pictures from the day the babies were born. They were literally taken MOMENTS before the doctors began the c-section! I'll get to those, but first, I'd like to tell you about the moments leading up to those pictures and the babies' delivery. Looking back, it's all actually kind of comical!

I was on the couch--- the same place I'd been for the past three months, and my mom and I were spending the afternoon making sock monkeys for the babies. I had one just like this named Mugzie when I was little, so we wanted to make three for the triplets. The other thing I really wanted was a pizza! In fact, I had ordered one nearly thirty miles from our home (I had a VERY specific craving) and was sending Tom out the door to pick it up. Just as I was complaining about, "where's my pizza?" I felt two swift kicks. Yep--- then a gush of water!

So, with a towel in tote, Tom rushed me to Greenwich Hospital where they prepped me for delivery while Tom snapped picture after picture. Believe me, at the time, I didn't want a camera ANYWHERE near me. Looking back, I'm so glad we have these pictures so I can remember those crazy moments!

Okay, so this was just after we arrived. I actually look pretty happy, but believe me, the smile is only concealing FEAR! Yes, minutes later, I could no longer hide that fear. The nurses obviously said something that literally made my mouth drop! Yikes! I'd say I look a little worried in this one.
And finally--- this last picture is the REAL WHOPPER! I look at this and can't believe how big I look. But yes, there were three babies in there. This makes me want to squirm, just remembering how painful it was to even walk with this big 'ol belly. I am SOOOO glad they put me out of my misery!
And by the way--- I never did get my pizza that night. But hey, I got three fantastic babies instead!

A Bright and Sunny Mornin'!

Today EVERYONE woke up in a good mood and you know, that makes for a happy mommy, too! So, I thought I'd share some video of my little content bunch just hangin' out this morning. We have all sorts of gadgets; from swings to bouncy seats--- believe me, these things have overcome out house--- but hey, they keep the babies smiling!

And Olivia seemed to be at her very best this morning. My little chubby cheeked girl just LOVES when you talk to her. Check this out!
