Just A Little Reminiscing...

Yes, at this point I'm still home resting comfortably--- praise the Lord! However, while my body is in rest mode, my mind is working overtime. I'll tell you what, I barely have the patience to watch a TV show in its entirety! I guess it's a mix of anxiousness and excitement, as the babies count down the days 'til their arrival. I can't help but wonder what they'll be like, often reminiscing a bit about my own likes and dislikes over the years. Here's my mom and I, not long after bringing me home from the hospital. Here I am blogging at an early age. Just kidding, of course. Perhaps I was putting together memos for the blog? I'm quite sure we didn't have the Internet back then (boy do I sound old or what!).
I would love it if the babies (or at least one of them) shared my love of music. I started playing the violin at the age of five. Even if we have a Tuba player in there I think I'd be proud! Sorry for the poor picture quality.I've actually been playing lots of music for the babies since they've been inside my belly. Today, we've heard 10,000 Maniacs, ABBA, Cat Stevens, and even some Placido Domingo--- from Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Requiem". The babies seem to rate the songs by number of kicks. Some songs get no kicks what so ever--- go figure. They're entitled to their opinions! And finally, there is some debate in our household as to how my dear dogs will respond to three babies. I'm hoping the babies do embrace my inherent love of animals. I've had everything from cats to dogs, to horses and lizards. Here's Chloe and I with some of our first kittens, aptly named Pickles and Jellybean. Looking back, I should have had 3 kittens in my arms, right?Sometimes, Tom jokingly says that I love animals more than people. I promise you this; no matter what these little people inside of me like or dislike, I know I'll love them more than the world!
