Unfortunately, the test I took had nothing to do with brain power. It's called The Fetal Fibronectin Test and it's supposed to determine whether or not these babies will be born within the next two weeks. Well, the test came out positive-- boo! Mind you, a negative result is far more conclusive. There is such a thing as
a false positive when it comes to this test. So, let's hope, let's pray, that these babies stay put. Now that I've hit the big 30 week mark I really need to get to 32 weeks. That's when a lot of the "preemie issues" disappear and we'll be in more of a "safe zone".
I know, I sound like a total Debbie Downer (one of my favorite characters from Saturday Night Live).
I really wish I had more positive news to report, but hey, it is what it is. It's up to these babies now. I'll give them an A+ if only they can stay in for another two weeks! We'll call it their very first report card! Don't fail me now babies!
